How NATE Certification Makes H&S HVAC Technicians More Helpful

At H&S Heating and Air Conditioning, it’s important to us that our technicians get and maintain their NATE certifications. These certifications help us maintain and prove our specialty HVAC knowledge to our customers, and provide an assurance that we understand the products, services and installations better than our competitors in the area.

What Is NATE?

North American Technician Excellence (NATE) is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians. Founded in 1997, NATE is the certification organization that has been supported by the entire HVACR industry for nearly 20 years.

NATE certification tests are developed by industry experts from across the U.S. and are rigorous, knowledge-based tests that validate a technician’s understanding of the products and systems they work with daily.

Testing is required every five years for recertification.

Why Get Certified?

Minnesota doesn’t require any sort of certification to work in HVAC, but we feel it’s important.

For us, it’s important to be certified because it shows our customers we have a certain level of skill. And when we look at hiring new technicians, if they have a NATE certification already, that’s a big plus in our book.

It also allows us to be listed online in the NATE directory and utilize the NATE logo on our website.

What Does It Mean To Me?

For our customers, with so many different companies out there it’s hard to know which ones you can trust with your HVAC system. By working with NATE-certified technicians, you won’t have to think twice about the quality of service and professionalism you can expect to receive.

Schedule your furnace maintenance with NATE-certified H&S Heating & Air Conditioning technicians and have confidence that we will get the job done right!
